Pioneering community-led TB case finding in Oyo State since 2008 — through door-to-door screening, referrals, and treatment adherence support.
The Christiana Olawumi Foundation is one of the pioneers of community-led TB case finding in Oyo State, with activities documented since 2008 and formal registration in 2018. Our work has been at the forefront of Nigeria's fight against tuberculosis.
We combine door-to-door assessment with public awareness campaigns, facility partnerships, and treatment adherence support — creating a continuum of care that addresses TB from first symptoms to full recovery.
We maintain verifiable records and pictorial evidence of all outreach activities, including facility partnerships, volunteer training, and client follow-up, demonstrating our commitment to transparency and accountability.
We go directly to homes and communities to identify suspected TB cases early.
Suspected cases are referred to partner health facilities for diagnosis and treatment initiation.
We track treatment adherence and follow up with patients who discontinue care.
